Stephanie Bontempi is running for Suffolk County Legislative District 18 because she is concerned about and committed to our community, our environment, our seniors and veterans, and our children’s future.

“I am the proud mother of three children and an educator who has called the Huntington area my home for close to thirty years. In this time, I have been actively engaged in many local community and charitable organizations, including the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, the Townwide Fund of Huntington, and most recently as the Chairperson of the Town of Huntington Beautification Advisory Council.”

“Born in Sweden to a Swedish father and a French/Italian mother, I immigrated to the United States in my twenties and soon became a Naturalized Citizen – one of my proudest moments!”

“My husband and I, and our youngest daughter, live in Centerport with our two dogs and our tailless, rescue cat.”

“I am excited to be running for a seat in the Suffolk County Legislature to represent the residents of District 18, which encompasses Cold Spring Harbor, Greenlawn, Lloyd Harbor, Huntington, Huntington Bay, Halesite, Centerport, Northport, Asharoken, and Eaton’s Neck, as well as portions of East Northport, Huntington Station, and Elwood.”
